How to Register for the South Pas Flea

Updated on 10/1/2023 This is to give you all the information you might need for the upcoming South Pas Flea.

Address: 920 Meridian Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030 The event time is 9am - 3pm.

Load in is between 7:30 am - 8:30 am

Load out is from 3 pm - 4:30 pm.

You will be assigned space upon arriving but your arrival time will differ by vendor!

All vendors are expected to stay the full duration of the market. If you must leave early all items must be walked out of the market to your car. No vehicles are permitted inside the barriers during the market. THE KEY POINTS FROM THIS EMAIL… 1. Event Insurance 2. Vendor Registration

3. City Business License So lets begin… 1. Event Insurance The city is requiring that South Pas Vintage and all its vendors for the South Pas Flea have event insurance.

Below is the link for the event insurance. All the information necessary for the South Pas Flea is entered already. All you need to do is add your information and pay the total amount.

1-3 day insurance at $44,

3 month insurance at $144

or annual insurance at $274 for the year!

  • October 21st during The South Pasadena Arts Crawl

  • We are planning events for November 18th and December 16th (3rd Saturday of each month).

  • 2024 market days will be the 3rd Saturday of each month

Also, the Annual Eclectic Music fest Hosted by South Pasadena Chamber and Arts Crawl will be held in April 2024. This event generates attendance in the tens of thousands of people. Those of you that have done this event know it’s a great time with lots of fun and lots of foot traffic!! We have used Hartford Insurance in the past but you can use your own provider. Below are the requirements you must tell your insurance provider. Such insurance must be in the minimum amount of $2,000,000.00 combined single limit, and must name the City of South Pasadena, The City officers, and employees as additional insured under the coverage afforded. Address: 1414 Mission St. South Pasadena CA 91030 Such insurance must be primary and noncontributing with respect to any other insurance available to the city and must include a severability of interest (cross-liability) clause. **** Please be aware that you are required to have event insurance if you wish to participate in this event, or any event, in the City of South Pasadena from this point forward!

2. Vendor Registration Registration is $60 for a 10’ x 10’ space or $100 for a double booth. So instead of a single 10’ x 10’ space you will get a 10’ x 20’ space. Registration gets you the space but vendors are required to provide their own tents, tables or other materials needed to sell. You do not need a tent to participate.

*Vendor registration fees will change to $100 per 10' x 10' booth and $180 for a 10' x 20' booth starting January 2024. 3. City Business License and State Resell License Per the cities request each vendor who plans to participate in this, or any future event in the City of South Pasadena, must get a city business license. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help navigating their website. This license will be required for any South Pas Flea event or your participation with the Chamber of Commerce through their Arts Crawl and Eclectic Music Festival. Definitely worth it if you plan to participate in those future events :)

Generally, the license will cost about $110 per year but please be aware that this fee is adjusted to meet each businesses requirements.

Attached is the link to the Business License Portal. BUSINESS TYPE: “Vendor” and proceed with your normal business location. SIC Code 5932001 For vintage and second hand vendors. Find your corresponding sic code for your business type. For your Business Description add your business type and South Pas Flea in there. Below is the city business license website! You can register for a free California resell license through the CDTFA website.

You can also update your event location by logging into your CDTFA account.
